FIRST AID COURSES - We have a first aid day for teachers planned for 22nd April. Booking will be through BWY South West shortly. 

PILATES - REGULAR CLASSES - bookings only

 

THURSDAYS - 5-6pm This class runs as 8 week courses £64

 

Modified Physio Pilates.  Classes taught by a Physiotherapist Emma Bell (see Teacher page) to help manage back pain, osteoarthritis, rehab after surgery, sports injury and post natal. All abilities welcome.

MINI FIRST AID

FRIDAY 27TH APRIL 2018 10.30-12.30: £20

 

Mini First Aid offers first aid courses to parents, grandparents, carers and children. The courses are delivered in a relaxed and comfortable style and cover the basics of life saving first aid, giving confidence to know what actions to take if faced with a medical emergency.

 

If you are bringing your baby please note that access to Poole Yoga Centre in a daytime class will mean carrying your baby in as there is no access between parked cars for buggies.

PREGNANCY YOGA - TEACHER SUPPORT WORKSHOP

SATURDAY 28th APRIL 2018: 9.30-12.30:   £30

WITH LOUISE TREW AND KELLY FUNNELL

Open to dedicated pregnancy yoga teachers and teachers of general classes willing to take pregnant ladies in class.
 
A session to share teaching methods and ideas from Poole Yoga Centre’s 2 pregnancy yoga teachers Kelly and Louise, both of whom have BWY Diplomas through Wendy Haring and Val Goodier and Pregnancy yoga teacher training from Wendy Teasdill. Both have been teaching dedicated pregnancy yoga classes for 4 years. Kelly will be 8 months pregnant at the time this session is to be held.
 
We hope to share with you some of the warm up and breathing techniques we teach in classes here at Poole Yoga Centre as well as poses to help with the changes in the body and mind during pregnancy. Kelly will be able to describe how the teachings feel in the later stages of pregnancy and all participants are encouraged to share ideas and get to know each other.

MBSR - MINDFULNESS BASED STRESS REDUCTION PROGRAMME

​Vicky Walduck has been a teacher and meditator for many years and is dedicated to living a mindful life and bringing the benefits of this to others. Her mindfulness masters thesis investigated attention and mindfulness and other areas of expertise include nutrition, depression and the cognitive neuroscience of mindfulness. Vicky is also a Listening Volunteer with the Samaritans and member of the BCVS (Bournemouth Council for Voluntary Service). Vicky is currently also completing her diploma in Yoga Teacher Training with the British Wheel of Yoga.

YOGA FOR HEALTHY LOWER BACKS - TEACHER TRAINING COURSE

With Alison Trewhala Author of 'Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs'

 

Teacher training provided by The Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs Institute – accredited by national yoga governing body for Sport England and Sports & Recreation Alliance, British Wheel of Yoga, as a Recognized Centre of Excellence in Training and Standards.

 

4 Units = 300 hour course – 2 intensive training weekends; home study and practice; mentor-supported 12-week course teaching as trainee.

Level 1 – Saturday 30th June and Sunday 1st July 2018
Level 2 – Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd September 2018
